I am so excited to get to know all of you! I have been teaching music for twenty years, the last five of which at Creston K-8. I left Creston to teach in my own community. Before that I was in schools around Oregon with Ethos Music Center.
Our kiddos will be learning about the power and joy and community that music can bring by creating through song, dance and play.
I received my Music Education degree from Missouri State and have extensively studied the power of Ukulele, Drumming and Marimba in the classroom.
I grew up in a musical family and earned my Bachelor’s in Music Education from Missouri State University. I have training in Orff, Suzuki and Dalcrox instructional methods and have experience playing music in Orchestras, Jazz, Bluegrass and Hip Hop groups.
When I am not teaching, I am frequently caught telling jokes behind my Banjo, hiking and fishing and having a blast with my baby son Finn and Scott Kindergarten daughter Fayanna.
